Superhero-ish shot for a Superheroes-weekend!
So yeah! I’m quite psyched to see The Avengers tomorrow with my family (the entire Dinglasan Clan in Doha) and while I was reorganizing my photos on my lappy I saw this…one of those hidden shots I haven’t really posted anywhere…an “outtake” in professional language…This picture was taken in 2010 and it was one of my very first fashion shoots… Going back to the fact that it’s the “The Avengers” weekend in Doha, I think this picture is very appropriate for the mood…I think the outfit is very edgy…to my abstract mind, it’s very superhero-ish :) lovely weekend everyone!

i guess it’s not really modernizing…it’s abstracting… or more like trying to use what you have from your closet… I didn’t really have the time nor the budget to buy a terno or have a baro’t saya or kimona or whatever Filipino national costume made so i just grabbed my elephant pants which looked like a skirt (saya), my see-through top similar to a kimona, a bandana and my bakya-like pair… didn’t quite actually resembled the actual Filipino attire but in my defense, my outfit yesterday was Filipino “inspired”… hence, it is abstraction…

my dance group who rocked the final presentation with a bollywood-inspired choreography…my first time to try INDIAN dance and INDIAN FASHION! I LOVE!

hosting a short fashion segment in the evening… improv and one of those “FIRST TIME” moments…nerve-wracking… nevertheless, i need the experience…

and there goes my 18th…my most fruitful year so far… here comes my last teenage year… I can’t even think of what to wish for myself… I’m happy now and feel blessed…so I am wishing for the better of someone special… I wish she’ll be enlightened in time, not too late to take the chances and live a healthy life with less anger and regret…
The photo shoot workshop I styled over the weekend. It’s hilarious how each of them remind me of myself, of what I’d wear. Even the guys!

I bought these head dresses out of random whims…I got the first one from Oman when I went there in January. I bought it because it was just 1 Omani Riyal and I thought I could use this in a concept shoot… I was thinking of playing “Cleopatra” XD and then the other, I just bought last night… we had a Qatari event in the uni the other day and tried one of these which I find really cute…now all i need are concepts, stylist and photographers… XD

I am lacking sleep so I decided to buy a drink from Bateel. I saw the kuya making some fresh berry smoothies and had one instead of caffeinated drink to wake me up for Calc. The downside is the smoothie being more expensive than the caffeine…the advantage is i won’t be too hyper, plus i’m far from getting dehydrated if ever i forgot to eat lunch again! This is also to compensate for two days of being unhealthy (monday pasta and tuesday pizza galore)…(i’m fasting, and of course i have my own definition of fasting…)

I eat healthy food. More veggies, less meat especially red meat like beef. a lot of fruits for snacks and salt less crackers. plenty of water. Have a balanced diet and exercise ^^ Don’t starve yourself because that will make you gain more weight in the end. Cheat day over the weekend just to satisfy your cravings or relieve stress is healthy too.
